Each year the club hosts the Graham Wilkinson Cup this is a drawn pairs competition for club members and is sponsored by the family of Graham Wilkinson in memory of their father who was a well known local bowler and a popular member of Durham Indoor Bowls Club.
The competition has been held every year since inception in 2006.
This year there were 40 entrants, half of whom were seeded. The remainder were drawn as their partners. It is a whistle stop competition consisting of 5 games of 2 wood pairs with 40 mins per game.
The winners were Barry Jones & Keith Minnis. Runners-up were Brian Robson & Frank Graham..
It is a popular event open to club members. Peter, Graham's son, organises and runs it.
Cash prizes were available for the first 4 teams. Congratulations to the winners Barry Jones and Keith Minnis. Barry has taken part in all seven of these annual competitions. Previously a runner-up he has now taken the trophy and a share of the pot.
